Working From Home: You Won't Be Successful If You Don't Provide Value

The misconception of working from home is that you join a company, knock on doors and stalk your family and friends for leads generation. That is old school, and its crazy because so many continue to try to generate leads that way. I'm not saying that it doesn't work, but it just doesn't work as well. Especially in this day and age, with social networking sites like Twitter... Why would anyone keep going that same old prehistoric route for a lead?
Many people don't realize this, which I know for sure is a benefit for the ones who do. It's unbelievable. I know someone who sells products for a cosmetic/wellness company (I won't say the name) but she was introduced to me by another relative of hers that asked me if she could give her my home number. She didn't say what the reason for her having my number was, but as a seasoned entrepreneur, it was pretty obvious what this call would be about.
Well, about a week later, she calls. We are having a really great conversation - So much in common! She went to school for architecture as well, we both are great interior designers- It was like finding a best friend that I hadn't talked to in a long time! But then, she brought up her opportunity. I knew it was coming, and I have to admit, it sounded pretty good as a product line-- So, that's alright since I know how to make any business successful. It just turned into an opportunity push and it wasn't at all attractive.
So, the push (harassing strategies) that she implemented into her pitch-- pretty much turned me off from joining her opportunity. I know that if I feel like going back to that particular MLM, I could-- and make it successful. But for those that are on my team and the strategies that we use, there is no cold calling. No names list. It is all about Attraction Marketing. And so, if you do not have what you need to succeed, you will fail. I run successful businesses and I continue to show my people how to succeed. Without value, you cannot attract any leads. And why would you want that?
